“Talk Is Cheap” – P.T. Barnum
When I ran for office four years ago, I promised to focus on fiscal responsibility, restoring our local economy, and upgrading our infrastructure. I’m proud of my record—here’s what I’ve accomplished.
Fiscal Responsibility:
- Led passage of $1.5 million in spending cuts, most with bipartisan support
- Fought income tax increases, offering common sense alternatives
- Guarded Legacy Trust from frivolous spending
- Consistently steadfast in conservative fiscal principles
Job Creation Policies:
- Kept the new Zoning Ordinance business friendly by the adoption of several pro-development amendments
- Advocate for pro-business policies on Joint Permitting Oversight Committee
- Led Tax Abatement Reform with bipartisan support to foster job creation, ensure more accountability, and create more “bang for the buck” for taxpayers
Upgraded Infrastructure
- Tripled road and infrastructure budget
- Less bonding, more “pay as you go”
- We have a long way to go, but a five year plan is now in place to repave all streets in poor condition
